| 'Bermuda Kathleen' is one of the mystery roses rescued from oblivion by the Bermuda Rose Society. It has spread around the islands from cuttings taken from the 1950's in Hilda Horsfield's garden. It produces open sprays of fairly small, single flowers. They open apple-blossom pink and darken to a dusty rose-pink, flattening as they age. It produces small orange hips. The plant is upright in habit and can be trained as a small climber. 'Bermuda Kathleen' has characteristics similar to 'Mutabilis', including lack of fragrance, which raises the possibility of it being a chance seedling of 'Mutabilis'. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
