| Dark pink buds open to small, double blooms in clusters on purplish canes. Highly fragrant. Can reach 10 feet when used as a climber. Many claim that this is the earliest Noisette, originating in South Carolina. It was lost to commerce for many years but was reidentified from a plant sent to the Huntington Botanical Gardens of California in the early 1970's. Like the remainder of the Noisettes, 'Champney's Pink Cluster' does best in full sun with lots of good air circulation. In 1986 it was unofficially renamed "The Charleston Rose" in honor of its birthplace. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
