Medium-sized, double, deep yolk yellow blooms fade to white as they age. They have a strong musk and fruity fragrance. Rich green shining foliage. Suitable for a large shrub border planted in groups or easily trained on a fence or pillar. Orange-red hips are produced in the fall. May tolerate some light shade. 'Danae' was among the first hybrid musk roses that the Reverend Joseph Pemberton introduced.
