Soft pink and cream colored blooms are strongly fragrant. If spent blooms aren't removed, large round hips are produced and turn red in the fall. The plant is strong growing and disease resistant. It has plentiful foliage. Good free-standing shrub if pruned lightly. If pruned hard in winter it produces a medium-sized spreading bush.
