Sweetly fragrant, pale pink double flowers on a compact plant are carried in large clusters. They have a pleasing scent. Leathery foliage is a rich dark green. The plant is relatively short so it would be useful to edge a border, in a small planting bed or as a group planting. The name means "greetings to Aachen", which was the raiser's home city, famous as the burial place of Charlemagne. Bred from the famous white Hybrid Perpetual 'Frau Karl Druschki', 'Gruss an Aachen' is believed to be the original rose that began the Floribunda class.
