Small, creamy yellow flowers are almost single and have showy stamens. They are richly fragrant. This rose can be used as a large mounding shrub or climber. In England, the Reverend Joseph Pemberton crossed 'Trier' with a series of other roses to create a group of modern shrubs called the Hybrid Musks.
